Sebastian

Sebastian is now on the move!

When he discovered that he could roll, there is nothing stopping him. Except a wall or maybe the bookcase, but he'll just turn the other way or if he's stuck he'll call out to me for help. He is very persistent and wants everything it seems like. Then he gets tired and falls asleep for a minute or two like a puppy and then keeps going. I can't leave him on the bed so he has been napping in my arms during the day. He pushes himself backwards and pulls himself forward a little. A few days ago he slept long and when he woke up he was suddenly a little child and no baby anymore. I will get a video and post soon.

Julianna's birthday August 13

Happy Birthday Julianna.

My little girl is turning 6. She is so independent sometimes I forget and think she's as old as Elena. She wants to start school (tomorrow, as I write this), she trains hard at gymnastic classes as well as her own practice at home. She plays endlessly with her toys, and she rides horses like a wild girl. She shares her wonderful humor and is almost always up for assisting with Sebastian (although she can't stand his drewle) or whatever I ask and she has a heart big enough to fit everyone and for all this and more we all love you. I wish for you a wonderful 7th year as the beautiful person you've chosen to be!

Camping trip of 2009

We went on a two week trip with our camper to the southwest coast where my mom and dad lives. On the way down we ended up at a 5 star Vegas style campground with an amazing indoor adventure/experience pool that the girls and Bart enjoyed in the morning before we kept on going.

First stop was Gothenburg and Liseberg, Sweden's largest amusement park that is also a beautiful park. This was the girls birthday wish and they sure enjoyed it. We all got our fill and even Sebastian got to go on a boat ride.

In Falkenberg where I grew up, we enjoyed some wonderful days on the beach. Hot smooth sand, salty air and late night swims in still warm water, crab catching and beautiful late sunsets. It sure stimulated childish feelings of freedom and when I walked on the beach where I rode horses as a kid, the scent of my horse's sweat came back to me. I am glad we went there and grateful for the perfect weather, I am also glad we do not live there- it's the perfect place to visit in the summer!

The ocean is very shallow for 50 yards out, and the water gets really warm there so Sebastian got to bathe and he was in awe of what to do with all the water but discovered that splashing is lots of fun!

We drove south to my dad's house outside Helsingborg. My half sister Carin is now 18 but still enjoys playing with the kids and she was a natural with Sebastian.

This is the oak tree that has been nourished with Elena's and Julianna's placentas. We buried Sebastian's there as well, and it was quite an emotional ceremony for me and the forest was so beautiful.

We also had a great dinner with my childhood friend Jenny with her fiance'e Kim.

(I also got to see my other childhood friend Hanna with her family but I forgot to take pictures...)

Elena´s birthday July 26

Wow, this little girl grew up so fast, too fast. I treasure my memories with her, her birth and our first years together as some of the most special in my life. She opened up my eyes to a whole new experience that I love and I became someone new in this, someone I love too, and for this I am forever grateful Elena. I love being a mom, I love being your mom.
