A beutiful summer´s day in Uppsala

Bart needed to go to Uppsala to get a new immigration card and then he was off to Germany. I stayed in town for a while as the weather was so nice and the town was in a great summer spirit. I found a unique playground with a playboat that Sebastian loved playing in!

Sebastian loooves strawberries!

On the way home we stopped at a large store for some camping supplies, and Sebastian got to enjoy a few minutes pretending to be driving a kids 4 wheeler.

Sebastian video

I filmed this with my phone so it really varies in color and focus but Sebastian is so cute dancing, jumping and singing on the table... I gave him a piece of bread with a new spread on it and he did not like it. He also did not want to get of the table but he was so cute wanting to be filmed that I let him.

Sebastian and Curious George

Sebastian has a new love- Curious George!
He has two videos of Curious George that he loves to watch and copies the sounds that George makes. Then the other day we found a soft monkey that ofcourse was named George!

The other day Sebastian was angry and took a pen and drew on the bed. When I asked if he had done it he said no. I asked if George had done it and he said yes. I said I like my sheets nice and clean so he could go tell George that mom does not like him to draw on the sheets.
Sebastian quietly went and got George, climbed up on the bed, laid down with him next to the "drawing", and hugged George. He seriously but quietly said no, no and then kissed George.
He was adorable!

Unfortunately the sound did not made it onto this video... Sebastian says GEORGE.

Sebastian is now 2!

Sebastian turned two on March 11. We sing for the birthday child in the morning, waking him up with a tray of candles, presents and something sweet to eat. I made tiny chocolate balls for Sebastian that he happily ate while tearing up his presents. But first we had to sing three times as he would not wake up, but when he did he loved the singing as he did today as well when we had a little birthday party for him with friends. I made a cake that Sebastian was not interested in at all. But the cake was appriciated by everyone else, a typical Swedish cake, a spungecake, half vanilla, half chocolate, with banana vanilla and rasperries layered in it and whipped cream on top.

Sebastian got a drum!

He got a baby basketball and hoop!

He got a train and track made of wood.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEBASTIAN Timothy Damon!

Sebastian having fun and Julianna skating

Nowadays Sebastian loves to take a bath in his bathtub and playing with the bowls is more fun then the duckies and dolls. The little bowl floats and then sinks as he pours water into it, what could be more exciting! Perhaps just peekaboo that he also loves!

Julianna is fast getting good at figure skating and last weekend she competed in the local club competition and she came in 2nd! She was very proud!

That´s it for now. It´s still COLD here and I am busy driving the girls here and there and playing with Sebastian and trying to fit in some writing on the computer!

Another video of Sebastian

Here is another video of Sebastian from april. For my mom. I know you miss him so much!
Sebastian says" dance ´til u drop!"

Also update about Elena; she has been a very frequent (as in many times a day...) visitor to the library during the last couple of months. Luckily the library is conveniently located across the street from us. She loves listening to mystery audio books and has now gone thru all that they have, about 50 of them. Her new focus is Manga cartoon books and I am thrilled to see her actually reading and enjoying it so much. She does not want to put the books down, and has about 40 of them stacked neatly (the only thing in her room that is!) by her bedside.
She is also drawing Manga and I hope I am allowed to post some pictures of her drawings soon.

I am back

I am posting again.

I just came back from my morning walk and it was chilly out although spring is definitely here to stay. Grass is green and buds are out but there is still some snow refusing to melt.
What amazes me is that the sun is over the horizon almost 11 hours longer then our darkest days this winter.
Yesterday I did nothing really, and that was really nice. Sebastian and I hung out at the park mostly. He discovered the trash bin and throw out lots of candy wrappers he found.

Lately I have been using my time when Sebastian is asleep to write. After seeing how brilliantly Amy joined the author competition I got inspired. (I am sorry Amy to hear your book did not go to round 2. I must say there was a lot of already somewhat famous authors, self published, that was in the competition...)
I started writing on a book about "being with horses" years ago, so I now picked it back up and I was surprised at what I had written.
I saw the whole picture and so I have been feeling very inspired, writing and creating a website for it.
With Sebastian being the little wild fellow he is, I am busy almost every minute he is awake, especially when Bart is out of town, so I really have not put that many hours in but I am pleased with the progress. I have decided to record the book (more of a booklet I believe...) and sell it on CD or audio file.
I have always loved to write and sharing my thoughts makes me thrilled and apprehensive as well.

During my voice lesson the other week I decided to record a song and I tensed up so much just from pressing that rec button. It took me 3 times to get all the way thru the song. When I got to hear it a week later I thought it sounded so bad I had to turn it off. But according to my teacher it could not be that bad. I am seeing how strong my mental projections are.

I recorded four songs about 3 years ago and one person that I shared them with asked me to record more cause she liked listening to the CD she got from me.
I bet she has no idea how much her words meant to me and I have let them support and inspire me. Some day I will record the rest of the songs I´ve written, just because they deserve to, and just because I want to give them to her.

I love singing and I was in such joy after my last lesson. I felt something I had not felt before, not in that way. It was like I got a taste of the oneness that we are, like I connected in to other people and their joy and being. Wonderful. I had another powerful oneness experience years ago, but I´ll save that for another time.

Here is charming Sebastian. I enjoy him so much! He is now getting lots of desires beyond to eat and sleep and with that also frustration and anger as all desires naturally can´t be fulfilled. I am enjoying how he lets it all out at once without anything towards anyone. He just screams out his frustration or throws himself down on the ground and then 3 seconds later he is just fine and goes on for something else. He is really enjoying playing with our cat Melissa. He runs with a string and laughs as she follows.

I spent last weekend alone with Elena, and after a nice time with our horses (it was Micko´s birthday and Elena made him a cake in a bucket) we watched a movie as she likes to do. I then wanted to do something else and wished for her to spend time with me. I wanted to tidy up the house and maybe go through clothes as I was bringing out boxes of summer clothes. She loved seeing her clothes but not anything else. I tried tidying but she just wanted to tickle me and bug me playing, but with my neck (that has been not right for some time now) I did not want to so she ended up turning on music and dancing with Sebastian. That evening we watched the sisterhood of the traveling pants , with a lot of crying, and we had such a heart felt talk after as I went over and explained some parts of the movie. She cried and I got the best goodnight hug ever. :-)
Next day we took Snowflake out to Högbo. We are planning to bring the cats on our trip to Falkenberg this summer so they need to get used to the car and being outside on a leash.
Snowflake showed us he is still a pro and enjoyed a walk with Elena and the sunny day.

I found this in Elena´s room and it was so nice I had to get my camera.

More of Sebastian exploring.

After this picture was taken he got another tooth so he now has 5. Sebastian has also started to give hugs, and I melt like butter in the sun.

Breakfast on the balcony. Julianna, Sebastian, Elena and Moa.

Julianna has been doing a lot of gymnastic this year.

Sebastian´s first birthday

Happy Birthday Sebastian Timothy Damon!
One year, one whole long year in Sweden, that has been full of experiences for a little baby. One year ago. Wow. I am so glad you came to us!

Boy I love my kids! Sometimes my patience can swindle when it comes to their friends but my kids, they are best in the world for me (must be some genious gene that makes me feel this).
Sebastian is so much fun right now, watching him discover his world is better then any movie or tv show out there (must be some other genious gene that makes me feel this as it sure is good he has someone to watch over him).

Here is some pictures of Sebastian whom I hope you all will meet in person one day;

He got to play with Elena´s tiger.

Julianna´s friend´s little brother. Sebastian loved having a visitor, he showed him the whole house and all his toys and they were both supercute.

He can now draw, and loves to do it with big sis.

Cool pic in the sun. Check out those lips after eating mommy´s milk.

Bathtub fun.

It takes concentration, and as his grandma and sisters and mom he sticks his tongue out while concentrating (must be some not so genious gene_).
