Our love to Janne

I have been out of touch for a while here cause Janne, my kids bonus grandpa, is in the hospital. His aorta cracked and later broke open and he was operated on for 10 hours. This was almost two weeks ago but yesterday "he woke up" and started talking to my mom. Although he is not opening his eyes, he communicates and that made us very happy. My mom has had a very hard time and I´ve felt with her. His brain is swollen and so we do not know of damage that may have occured while bleeding so much but Bart is working on him of course. His conciousness jumps between present and past and he is not yet moving one leg and arm. We all appriciate loving thoughts towards him. Thank you.

Our horses playing in the snow

Spinner and Micko had fun together today.

I post this video below for my horse lover friends Carin and Angelica, Moa and Mia and for Quinn (who rode Spinner while visiting here in Sweden).

This picture is for Keegan, remember the playground? Now covered in snow.

Winter

It´s a really cold winter here, minus 20 Fahrenheit at the moment. So much for global warming...hm, maybe it´s the turning of the axel instead, I feel like I live in Siberia!
We got 27 inches of snow in just a couple of days.

Elena going fast down the hill in Högbo.

It sure is beautiful!

Julianna happy after skiing.

Snowball war with daddy.

Looks like Siberia, right!

Julianna flying.

Janne and Elena going fast!

Even Sebastian enjoys sledding!

I love the rowan tree with the snow on the berries. To me it looks like cup cakes hanging in a tree.

Our pony Micko loves the snow. He goes absolutely wild when I take him out.

View from our kitchen window.

Happy New Year 2010!

I am so excited about this year! I smell change in the air and feel trust and so much love, although the world seems to be in chaos. There will be stillness in the center of the chaos.
It was now a year ago we moved back to Sweden. I have been in the same country for a whole year for the first time since I was 17. I had the travel bug really bugging me for this holiday but I am so grateful we stayed home, we bonded, rested, played and just enjoyed each other´s company.
I am happy we are here, the girls feel great and they, like us, miss all of you reading this so know that you are loved. One day we´ll take a tour again and go visit everyone.
Best of New Year wishes to You!
With love and warmth and joyous wishes of dreams to be fulfilled in 2010!
Midnight GMT +1

Julianna and Elena with sparklers.

My mother Solveig, Elena, Sebastian, Julianna and Janne (my mom´s "cohabitant" as we call it here in Sweden).

We exchanged gifts that Santa (Janne) came with. It´s standard here that someone dresses up like Santa and delivers the presents himself (no chimney entry here, they knock on the door, loudly).

Sebastian was not afraid of Santa.

Elena with lots of baked goodies, most from the school´s holiday market where the girls sold candy and baked goods that they´ve made themselves at school.
